Seattle Happy Hour Tour: Cocktails, Bubbles & Bites

Eat Seattle’s chef guides lead a two-hour happy hour crawl through South Lake Union — three cocktails, a glass of bubbles, and paired bites at four stops. Fridays and Saturdays, 5–7pm. 21 and over; IDs checked at the first stop.

What you’ll drink

A slushy, a Moscow mule, a Margarita, and a glass of bubbles to finish. Each one paired with a bite chosen by your guide — because a chef picking the food to match the drink is a different thing from a bar crawl where you eat whatever’s on the counter.

Drinks and stops shift with the season and the guide, so take that as a strong example rather than a fixed lineup.

Where you’ll go

South Lake Union after five, when the Amazon and Google campuses empty out and the neighborhood turns into somewhere people actually go. Four local spots within walking distance of each other, several of which you’d never find on your own. Your guide knows the bartenders.

Why a progressive happy hour

You get four places in the time most people spend at one. It’s a good way to see a neighborhood, a genuinely good first night in Seattle, and it works for a group that can’t agree on a restaurant.

Good to know

Two hours, Fridays and Saturdays, 5–7pm. Small groups!  Most of the tour is indoors, which matters here between October and June. We can’t accommodate children on this one, and dogs won’t work either since they’re not allowed at most stops.

Tell us about dietary needs when you book and we’ll do what we can.

It rains often in Seattle so we keep all tours operating regardless of the weather. Fortunately, a good deal of the tour is indoors.

Extra Guests

Furry friends are not recommended, as they aren’t allowed in many parts of the tour. You’ll have to wait outside which defeats the purpose.

Regrettably, due to the inclusion of alcohol, we are unable to accommodate children on this tour.

Food/Diet

We do not recommend this tour for those who are dairy free, vegan or gluten free. Not all tastings contain gluten or dairy. We can’t accommodate these restrictions for all food samples but will do our best to make substitutions where we can. Please notify us in advance so that we can plan accordingly.

Eat Seattle can accommodate vegetarians but we cannot make substitutions for other dietary restrictions. Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance of your tour if you will need vegetarian substitutions.
