This one is unapologetically Seattle. Not the polished version — the real one.
This tour doesn’t go up the Needle. We eat around it. The observation deck is a separate ticket you book directly with the Space Needle.
What you’ll eat
A classic Seattle dog at an iconic spot, because it’s a real thing and not a joke. A beef meat pie at the Armory, built on local ingredients. World-class oysters from Taylor Shellfish, pulled from Washington water — skip them without judgment if oysters aren’t your thing. Chef Brendan’s soft pretzel made with Northwest grains, alongside a local cider or beer. A Pacific Northwest sweet to finish.
Routes shift with the day and the guide, so take that as a strong example rather than a fixed menu.
Why this neighborhood
A hundred thousand people a day walk between the Needle, MoPOP, and Chihuly, and eat almost nothing worth remembering. Lower Queen Anne next door has been quietly good for decades. Your guide knows which is which — plus what this ground was before the 1962 World’s Fair put a spaceship on it.

Two hours, six tastings. Small groups. Meet at the Dog in the Park kiosk, 400 Broad Street, directly under the Needle — your chef will be in a black chef coat. Closest parking is the KOMO Plaza Garage at 466 John St. Allow extra time on event days; we can’t refund missed tours. You’ll leave with a discount card for our partners.

It rains often in Seattle so we keep all tours operating regardless of the weather. Fortunately, a good deal of the tour is covered.
Extra Guests
Furry friends are not recommended, as they aren’t allowed in many parts of the market. You’ll have to wait outside which defeats the purpose.
You may bring your children as we leave it up to the parent to make the judgment as to whether they will enjoy this type of activity. Children 3 and under who will not be eating, do not need to buy a ticket.

The two-hour tour consists of 5 stops. Most people consider this a meal.
We don’t recommend this tour for those who are vegan or gluten free.
Please notify us in advance so that we can plan accordingly.
Eat Seattle can accommodate vegetarians but we cannot always make substitutions for other dietary restrictions. Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance of your tour if you will need vegetarian substitutions.

This food tour meets under the Space Needle at Dog in the Park located at 400 Broad Street. Please arrive 10 minutes before your event starts.
Please note there are two Dog in the Park locations so be sure to go to the location at the Space Needle/Seattle Center.
Unfortunately, we do not have anywhere to put luggage on this tour. There are rentable luggage lockers available nearby.
